Judaism is one of the oldest religions in the world. Christianity came from Judaism. Jesus was a Jew with a singular religious message. The first Christians were all Jews who prayed in Hebrew and lived with the customs of Judaism. It is even likely that the Last Supper was a religious Jewish meal, Passover.

As we know from ancient texts, Jesus was killed by Roman Authorities and unfortunately many gospel accounts blame Jews for the crucifixion. His followers believed that he was the Christ and his death was a sacrifice for the good of the world. However, most Jews believed that the Messiah was yet to arrive.

Following the crucifixion, Roman armies destroyed temples in Jerusalem with Jews being exiled and having to live as minorities scattered across the globe. By the 5th, Christianity had become the most dominant religion in the Roman Empire.

Early Christians portrayed Jews as people who don’t accept the word of God, in fact images were created showing Satan and Jews working together. Furthermore, Church leaders condemned Jews as agents of the devil and murderers of God. This accusation existed for centuries and it was only renounced in the 1960s when the Vatican Council officially repudiated the charge that Jews had killed Christ.
